Job description

About the Position Performs human support work providing in-home services to senior citizens and the disabled, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the In-Home Service Aide Supervisor. Job Duties Provides clients with all needed personal care and home management tasks.

Ensures clients' safety and well-being; monitors vital signs such as weight, blood pressure, temperature, and heart rates. Transports clients to appointments and essential errands. Communicates changes to supervisor, social workers, and nurses.

Completes timesheets, day sheets, and vehicle logs. Performs other assigned duties. Position Qualifications Some knowledge of basic personal health care methods.

Ability to read and carry out detailed instructions. Ability to work with older adults. Ability to work with people from all socio-economic levels.

Ability to move and/or assist clients in movement. Ability to carry out health aid work in the home of a client and perform homemaker duties. Ability to practice sound hygiene and sanitation techniques.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and associates. Education, Experience and Supplemental Information High school diploma or equivalent or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. North Carolina Certificated Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
