Job description

We are looking for a Government & Commercial Sales Representative, reporting to the Commercial Fleet and Government Sales Leader, who will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with government agencies, and organizations to promote and sell products, services, or solutions offered by BRP. The role involves a deep understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and policies to effectively navigate the complexities of selling to government entities.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Prospect and generate new sales opportunities for both unit and PA&A (Parts, Accessories & Apparel) to government entities, fleet operators, and upfitters.

  • Build and foster relationships with both new and existing government customers.

  • Analyze and leverage market trends as well as data to influence sales and product/technology development activities.

  • Create proposals (RFPs), execute the tender process as necessary and negotiate contract terms while maintaining all necessary contract documentation.

  • Execute and negotiate both long-term and short-term contracts with various government agencies and commercial clients.

  • Attend industry events or trade shows; promote product knowledge and training by offering product demonstrations to government customers.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience in the field of security and defense, particularly a military background.

  • Proven track record of 5+ years in government sales.

  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.

  • Fluency in English & French (both spoken and written) is essential, as the person will have to interact with internal and external English-speaking teams on a daily basis.

This position is based out of the Quebec (Sherbrooke or Montreal) office but requires up to 75% travel.
