About Us Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, providing expert solutions in Ecology, Arboriculture, and Landscape Planning & Design. With a strong reputation for delivering pragmatic and innovative environmental services, they support a diverse range of clients-from major infrastructure projects to bespoke conservation initiatives.

The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to take on a leadership role, overseeing ecological projects, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality consultancy services. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of ecological best practices while working on diverse and impactful projects. What You'll Do Mentor & Lead: Support and develop junior ecologists, fostering professional growth.

Conduct Advanced Surveys: Oversee complex field surveys, ensuring compliance with best practices. Manage Projects: Handle multiple ecological projects, from large-scale developments to detailed mitigation plans. Client Engagement: Develop strong relationships, providing tailored ecological solutions.

Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to environmental legislation and industry standards. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal departments to deliver integrated ecological services. What We're Looking For Essential: A degree in ecology or related field or equivalent professional experience.

CIEEM Membership (Chartered or working towards). Proven experience in ecological surveys, impact assessments, and habitat management. Strong botanical identification and habitat assessment skills.

Understanding of planning policies and their impact on ecological consultancy. Experience with protected species licensing and mitigation strategies. What We Offer Competitive Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 (dependent on experience).
