Description
We have an immediate opportunity for the right drafting/modeling candidate in our structural engineering practice. Successful candidates must be able to earn the confidence of our clients through elegant, practical, and timely design solutions.
Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Additional benefits include medical plans, dental, vision, employee life insurance, 401(k), Flexible Spending Accounts, paid time off, paid holidays and tuition reimbursement.
Requirements
Requirements for this position are as follows:
Responsibilities
  • Layout of construction drawings based on preliminary architectural plans/models
  • Adaptation of standard details to projects
  • Detailing of unique conditions
  • Coordination with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, etc.

Skills
  • Proficient use of Revit (2-10 years) and BIM360
  • Previous experience working on building designs
  • Drafting/modeling experience with structural steel and concrete (wood, masonry and post-tension concrete are a plus)
  • Coordination of structural framing with other disciplines/Notify design engineer of possible conflicts
  • Proficient communication and client relationship skills
  • Willingness to accept increasing levels of responsibility, and demonstration of continued and progressive technical and leadership experience
  • Sensitive to client's needs, can develop positive client relationships
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently, or cooperatively and harmoniously with a team
  • Prioritize, manage time, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Structural detailing experience is a plus

Education Requirements
  • A Certificate of Achievement in Drafting and Computer-Aided Design Technology or equivalent, or an Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting and Design Engineering Technology preferred
