Maintenance Technician
Vaxxinova US is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Worthington, MN.
About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of all Vaxxinova facilities and equipment located in Worthington, MN.
The pay range for this position is $22-28/hr depending on experience and education.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform building maintenance and improvement
- Perform equipment maintenance
- Perform property maintenance and improvement
- Perform delivery and relocation of equipment as needed
- Responsible for snow removal and salt applications along with other necessary grounds work
- Ensure equipment is properly serviced and maintained according to PM schedules
- Complete miscellaneous duties as requested by other departments
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Capabilities
- Basic understanding of mechanical and laboratory equipment
- Facility maintenance skills
- Basic plumbing, HVAC and electrical knowledge/skills
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written skills
- Inventory maintenance of critical parts
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work as part of a team across departments
- Ability to follow department SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and PM schedules
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift 50lbs, kneel, bend, stand, use ladders, use hand and power tools and other physical abilities associated with maintaining, repairing, and improving facilities.
- Previous professional experience in facility maintenance, plumbing, electrical, construction, HVAC or other related fields is preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED required
