Job description


Lucid Behavior is a locally owned and operated ABA provider in Spokane, WA, serving Spokane County and the surrounding areas (Newport, Ritzville, Moses Lake, Pullman, Chewelah, Colville). Our goal is to provide behavior-analytic services that are: clear, easily understandable, accessible, and meaningful to the clients and families that we serve.

This position may require travel to clients' homes in the Spokane area. Staff are either placed in homes, in our clinic located in North Spokane, or a combination of both. Mileage is reimbursed.

Staff who are selected and agree to working in areas outside of Spokane are eligible for a pay increase depending on distance from client to staff and are selected on a case by case basis

Lucid Behavior is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others, curious about ABA, and forward thinking when it comes to the newest and best evidence-based practices in ABA. Clients are primarily located in Spokane, with some clients in Deer Park and Chattaroy. At this time, we have clients waitlisted for other areas, and will look into bringing them on as we get more staff in those areas!

Qualifications:

  • CBT or RBT certification preferred; we do provide training and this certification as a benefit if you are not certified
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to work in the home and/or community settings with clients of varying needs
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • The ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License
  • Physically capable of all of the following (as this may be asked of you at one time or another): push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs
  • Be able to sit on the floor, squat, walk, stand, and run

Experience is encouraged but not necessary - anyone who has worked in healthcare, childcare, education, or a similar background is encouraged to apply!

As a behavior technician, you will be working together with a BCBA/LABA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst) providing 1:1 ABA therapy with primarily children/young adults ages 2-21. Goals for ABA therapy include (but are not limited to): Increasing language and communication skills, improving attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics, and decreasing challenging behaviors.

Additional requirements include:

  • Follows the directions/instructions of the BCBA/LABA
  • Works together with the BCBA/LABA to ensure clients are making progress and provides feedback as appropriate
  • Responds to corrective feedback efficiently
  • Communicate with parents/caregivers regularly to discuss progress of client
  • Provides behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients
  • Provides behavior support services
  • Follows the ABA therapy plan provided by the BCBA/LABA clinical supervisor
  • Provides crisis intervention (as deemed necessary/appropriate)
  • Implements behavior plans
  • Documents sessions per policies and procedures
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all clients and stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Job Type: Looking for someone with open availability who is interested in working close to full time or full time.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
