Standard Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.

Position Summary:


The Electrical Project Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day activities of projects and coordinate with Project Managers to manage resources, ensuring the quality, production, and safety of installation operations.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Read plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Routinely coordinates scheduling with all departments and PCI Subcontractors throughout the lifecycle of a project including startup, excavations, and closeouts.
  • Identify all tools required for tasks and own appropriate hand tools.
  • Identify and mitigate safety risks in accordance with the company safety policies.
  • Complete all daily operational and safety documentation such as JHAs and as-built drawings.
  • Assemble and install electrical equipment.
  • Supervise the proper installation of electrical gear and components.
  • Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
  • Inspect electrical equipment and components to ensure the equipment is properly installed.
  • Set up and maintain temporary power systems.
  • Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
  • Maintain proficiency in cable pulling methods used to run cable through specified pathways.
  • Utilize specialized electrical tools such as multi-meters, tuggers, knockout kits, electrical hand tools, and terminating devices.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
  • Able to self-direct individual and team efforts to align with project priorities and deadlines.
  • Be dependable, accountable, and consistent in all aspects of daily project supervision.
  • Maintain knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and all State amendments and understand how they are applied in projects in assigned project location.
  • Have knowledge in boxing and pulling Romex in compliance with national and local codes.
  • Be a professional representative of the organization in all job site interactions.
  • Provide on-site direction and leadership to workers.
  • Manage all material on the jobsite regarding takeoffs, orders, receivals, storage, security, inventory control, and distribution of material daily.
  • Provide growth opportunities through coaching, managing performance, and mentoring.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Required: 8+ years of combined electrical construction and supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: Bi-lingual English-Spanish.
  • Preferred: Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
  • Preferred: OSHA 30-hour training.
  • Must have an exceptional understanding of the electrical construction industry.
  • Must have experience finding and repairing faults in electrical systems.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
  • Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
