Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Material & Logistics Coordinator to join our warehouse team in Hillsboro, Oregon. This position will serve as the operational coordinator for international shipments, with primary responsibility for import/export shipments, shipping documentation, freight coordination, customs and trade compliance support, and transportation management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate international import/export shipments, including required shipping and customs documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, country of origin, shipment descriptions, values, and other trade information.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickup, customs clearance, and delivery.
  • Support compliance with import/export and customs requirements and escalate discrepancies or compliance concerns as needed.
  • Track domestic and international shipments and proactively resolve delays, documentation issues, customs holds, and other exceptions.
  • Coordinate freight arrangements and transportation planning to meet delivery, cost, and service requirements.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation for traceability and audit readiness.
  • Support freight invoice review and resolution of billing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse on receiving, staging, packaging, and shipping priorities.
  • Support logistics procedures, internal controls, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor logistics performance and drive continuous improvement in shipment accuracy, lead time, freight cost, and process efficiency.
  • Provide backup support for warehouse and logistics activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, freight forwarding, customs coordination, or related supply-chain activities.
  • AAS degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Working knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs processes.
  • Familiarity with HTS classification, country of origin, Incoterms, commercial invoices, customs documentation, and import/export compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal business functions.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding shipping documentation, trade data, and transaction accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and time-sensitive issues in a fast-paced operating environment.
  • Semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
