Job description

Amazon's Global Trade Services (GTS) team creates scalable risk management and technology programs to enable cross-border expansion in compliance with import, export and product compliance regulations. GTS seeks to hire a Head of North America (NA) Product Compliance (Sr. Manager, Risk) to drive strategy and operations.

The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial leader and an inspiring people manager who can deliver best-in-class regulatory compliance programs in a highly complex and revolving regulatory environment. This leader must digest new regulations and enforcement trends, set a vision for the region, drive alignment with cross-functional leaders, influence tech roadmaps and controls, and develop team members to bring the vision to light. They will excel at cross-functional collaboration with internal partners (e.g

Legal, Safety) serving Amazon's WW business lines, and skillfully representing Amazon to external regulators and agencies. They will partner closely with technology teams to build scalable compliance programs, and delivering premier vendor, seller and customer compliance experiences. In performing the role, the leader will employ subject matter expertise, strong judgement, calculated risk-taking, data-backed analysis, bench marking from industry experts and automation to deliver accurate, efficient compliance programs.

As a people manager, the leader will foster an inclusive environment and help grow the careers of the risk managers in the team and wider GTS organization.
