Import Coordinator
Janel Group is seeking an Import Coordinator to join our team! If you're a high-energy, focused freight forwarding professional who wants to continue building your freight-forwarding career with a customer-focused, fast-paced industry leader, we'd love to talk!
Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound shipments with overseas agents, carriers, and customers, including domestic operations

  • Track shipments from departure through final delivery and maintain accurate records in the internal systems

  • Proactively resolve logistics and transportation issues with a strong customer-focused approach

  • Communicate shipment status, updates, delays, and ETAs to customers to ensure full visibility and satisfaction

  • Create and monitor exception reports in a timely and consistent manner

  • Collect required documentation, verify charges, and support billing accuracy

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and basic import regulations

  • Creating Customs entries

Qualifications
  • Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, preferred

  • 2+ years relevant Freight Forwarding, logistics, transportation, or domestic distribution experience, preferred

  • Microsoft Suite experience, preferred

  • Cargowise software experience, preferred
