Job description

Examples of Responsibilities – Staff Accountant  

  • Month-end closing
  • Account reconciliations
  • Input weekly, monthly, and daily journal entries
  • Oversee recurring data imports (ie. Pest Pac, payroll), complete allocations, transmit 401 payroll deferrals to asset custodian
  • Payment of carrier and vendor invoices, COBRA reimbursement, and audit tasks
  • Company fleet management: maintain vehicle list, insurance, gas cards, Sun Pass, policy violations, etc.
  • Calculate and post monthly depreciation; reclass miscellaneous expenses

As you grow into Accounting Manager

  • Manage accounting team including performance, scheduling, hiring, etc.
  • Work on monthly accounting reconciliations and financial statements
  • Post banking transactions and work with banking partners
  • Audit monthly financial statements and flag out-of-range items
  • Prepare reports on various accounting and financial matters

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 6 years of successful accounting experience, prior supervisory experience preferred
