Job Title:  Air Import Gateway Operations Specialist
Job Location: Hebron, Kentucky

As an Air Import Gateway Operations Specialist you will be responsible for the movement of our customer's air import shipments by performing activities in the gateway operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute orders by confirming arrival times, coordinating with carriers, inputting data, and dispatching recoveries.
  • Build relationships by responding timely to customer communications via email, fax and mail
  • Work with air and ground transportation partners to handle import shipments
  • Receive and track airfreight import consols through arrival into final destination. 
  • Retrieve shipment details, handle all documentation for cargo release and data entry for each shipment
  • Answer all customer inquiries in accordance with the Customer Service Policy standards
  • Further increase customer satisfaction and business share through proactive and regular contact and data input 
  • Communicate with and ensure release of the freight from air carriers
  • Perform billing to internal customers and/or other offices
  • Setup and coordinate direct deliveries to the customer
  • Handle and manage all operational issues at file level regarding exceptions
  • Additional projects as directed


Skills / Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of Logistics / Freight forwarding industry experience preferred
  • Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus

Pay Range: $23.36 - $31.14/hr. (Based on Experience)
