Customs Entry Specialist – International Freight Forwarding

Nexterus Inc.is a supply chain engineering and technology firm located in New Freedom, PA,that helps small and medium-sized companies effectively compete in today’s global marketplace.We provide solutions to the most complex business issues in your supply chain.

Position Overview:

Nexterus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated International Customer Service Representative with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Import/Export Entry Services. US Customs Broker License not required, but highly regarded (or recommended). If you are areliable, energetic, team player with a strong work ethic, excellent written/verbal communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the willingness to get the job done, wewould like to hear from you!

Role Involvement:
  • Coordinating, tracking, verifying, and reporting status of international transportation, following through to final delivery.
  • Communicating with all necessary parties accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Compiling and validating all necessary documentation to complete Customs Entry.
  • Following through to Customs release and follow all OGA’s that would pertain to the specific commodity insuring compliance.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments international shipments from their origin to final destination.
  • Gather, review, and verify international transportation related documentation.
  • Prepare quotations and coordinate documentation between customers, vendors, forwarders, and brokers.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and operational proficiency to meet growth and profitability goals.
Preferred Education and Experience Includes:
  • Associate degree or equivalent level of training or experience.
  • Relevant experience in a Customer Service role or equivalent skill set.
  • Basic knowledge of Customs rules/regulations regarding the Import & Export of freight.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude, organization of work and superior customer service.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in mathematics
  • Knowledge of world geography.

This role will be full-time based out of our corporate office.
