Job Summary
JX Advanced Metals USA is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Import/Export Coordinator to support our domestic and international shipping operations. In this role, you will coordinate the movement of materials and products, ensure compliance with import and export regulations, work with freight carriers and customs agencies, and help maintain efficient supply chain operations.
The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and experienced in import/export processes, shipping documentation, and logistics coordination.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments by air, ocean, and ground transportation.
  • Prepare and review import and export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping records.
  • Ensure shipments comply with U.S. customs regulations and company requirements.
  • Work with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and government agencies to facilitate timely delivery of goods.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve shipping, customs, and transportation issues as they arise.
  • Review freight charges, invoices, and shipping records for accuracy.
  • Assist with customs clearance activities and support the release of incoming shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and shipping documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to logistics, transportation, and trade compliance.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, planning, production, and customer service teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of import/export, logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience preferred.
