Job description

           

Job Purpose                                       

Our Shipping & Receiving Clerk has primary responsibility for ensuring the prompt shipment of goods and to check incoming packages for completeness and damage. You will prepare items for shipment and display extensive knowledge of proper shipping techniques and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

         Process all incoming shipments by visual inspections, verification of quantity received and proper paperwork accompanies each shipment

         Receive parts in JDE creating a traveler to move with each item.

         Arrange incoming freight shipments within OTM database.

         Work with Weatherford US Imports for International Incoming Shipments.

         Pack and palletize outgoing shipments as required.

         Using the OTM database, create shipments and schedule freight pick ups.

         Create all Export Documentation required including Commercial Invoices, Shipper's Letter of Instructions and Packing List.

         Maintain Import and Export documentation on a month-to-month/year-to-year basis.

         Order shipping and facility supplies as needed.

         Perform light facility maintenance as required.

         Manage outside preventative maintenance suppliers and annual contracts.

 

Experience & Education

 

REQUIRED

         3 years' experience in a shipping/receiving role

         High School or Equivalent

PREFERRED

         DOT & IATA Training

         Forklift Training

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

REQUIRED

         Microsoft Office

PREFERRED

         JD Edwards software
