Job description

About the role

This role sits within our Binocs Software product, Bluecruxโ€™s market-leading SaaS solution for scheduling and planning in Quality laboratories and Cell & Gene Therapy production. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in ensuring that Binocs is implemented and scaled successfully for our customers; balancing a strong understanding of business processes and end-user needs with technical solution design, product expertise, and continuous improvement of both the product and our delivery approach.

In this role, youโ€™ll work closely with customers, consultants, and internal product teams to align Binocsโ€™ capabilities with real-world operational needs, while also contributing to the evolution of the product and our internal implementation standards. Your responsibilities are split across customer-facing and internal/product-focused domains.

A key part of the role is understanding how customers actually work: their processes, workflows, constraints, and end-user needs. You'll translate that operational context into solutions within Binocs that are practical for users, technically sound, and scalable over time.

Customer-focused responsibilities:

  • Business process & solution design: Understand complex customer workflows and operational challenges, then design Process AND Binocs solutions that improve how end users work while remaining scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product capabilities.

  • Expert problem-solving and solution design: You can develop deep product expertise and translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions that deliver clear business value.

  • Functional & technical solution alignment: Translate business processes and user requirements into thoughtful process designs and system configurations, balancing usability, customer needs, technical feasibility, product standards, and long-term scalability.

  • Consultant support & escalation handling: Provide expert guidance to consultants, stepping in for complex scenarios and project escalations.

  • Communication & documentation: Engage with customer stakeholders and end users to understand how teams work in practice, challenge assumptions where needed, explain solution choices clearly, and document reusable approaches for the wider implementation team.

Internal & Product-Focused Responsibilities:

  • Continuous improvement & training: Identify process enhancements, including opportunities to leverage AI, and train consultants to improve their skills.

  • Product insights & strategy: Share customer feedback with internal teams, explore how AI and emerging technologies can support scalable solutions, and contribute to product development by identifying trends and shaping future product directions

About you

Above all, we believe in your ability to shape this role to your strengths, and weโ€™ll actively support your growth and development. The following experience and background will set you up for success during onboarding:

  • Extensive implementation experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing complex SaaS systems. Youโ€™ve seen what can go wrongโ€”and know how to navigate the challenges that come with large-scale implementations.

  • Strong judgment and decision-making: Youโ€™re comfortable operating in ambiguity, balancing customer needs with standards and scalability, identifying solution-fit risks, and making sound calls on when to move forward, adjust course, or escalation.

  • End-to-end solution ownership: You take ownership of complex solution designs from understanding the underlying business process and user needs through configuration and quality review. You can distinguish between what a customer asks for and what will create the best, most sustainable solution.

  • Technical confidence: You're comfortable working hands-on with SaaS platforms and understanding how systems, data, configurations, and integrations work. You can go deep technically when needed, but always connect technical decisions back to the business process and end-user experience. Familiarity with SQL is a plus.

  • Business process & functional analysis expertise: You can dig into how users and teams work today, identify the underlying business need, and translate complex processes into practical solution designs. You're comfortable connecting business requirements with system capabilities rather than treating requirements as purely technical specifications.

  • End-user mindset: You naturally consider the people who will use the solution day to day. You think about workflows, usability, adoption, and operational impact-not just whether something can technically be configured.

  • Hands-on and detail-oriented: You enjoy working directly in software systems, digging into the details, and truly understanding how the product works end to end.

  • Clear, effective communication: You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders.

  • You feel connected with and are ready to represent our company values:dig deep, own it, come together, move fast, and be kind!

  • You show a willingness to travel globally and to work in a hybrid working model.

Nice to have

  • Project management experience โ€“ A proven track record of leading and delivering large implementation projects

  • Product enhancement experience โ€“ Prior involvement in improving or extending SaaS products

  • Supply chain knowledge โ€“ Familiarity with supply chain processes

  • Industry experience โ€“ Background in life sciences and/or pharmaceuticals

  • Team leadership โ€“ Experience leading or coaching others is a plus. This role is a natural next step for senior implementation consultants, combining mentorship with hands-on problem-solving.

Why join us?

Empowering environment: We believe in moving fast, digging deep, and owning our work. Your voice matters here, and we create space for you to take initiative, enhance your skills, and grow both personally and professionallyโ€”all while being your authentic self. Whether itโ€™s contributing to bottom-up internal initiatives or bringing your expertise to innovative, transformative projects, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

Flat hierarchy & collaboration: At Bluecrux, we see you for your talents, not your title. We foster open communication, strong teamwork, and a "no flying solo" approach to challenges. Youโ€™ll work with passionate experts in their fields, sharing knowledge, challenging each other, and building our global community together.

Exciting growth opportunities: We donโ€™t believe in surface-level strategy. Join a company that encourages you to walk the talkโ€”whether working on innovative, disruptive projects for global clients or contributing to our U.S. growth journey. Our fast-paced, can-do mentality ensures youโ€™ll grow alongside us.
