Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, manage, and supervise construction projects from pre-construction through close-out

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed

  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies

  • Manage project costs, approve invoices, and control expenses

  • Conduct site meetings and provide regular project status reports

  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Resolve issues, conflicts, and delays efficiently

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction

EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferably 3 - 5 years experience in Estimation, Bidding, or Project Management

  • Experience with commercial or industrial construction

  • OSHA safety training

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in project management software

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Combination of office and construction site work

  • May require travel to job sites and extended hours to meet project deadlines
