Job description

Construction Project Scheduler

Crossland is looking for a person with advanced experience in Primavera P6 scheduling program(s), along with strong building and field experience. This person will be an immediate company presence for a portion of projects throughout the company. They will provide leadership, support, and training per Crossland's policies and procedures, participate in all aspects of the construction planning and scheduling, and bring complete unity and assurance so all projects have great schedules. Schedules will have detail, sequence, logic, accuracy, and communication to help ensure all projects stay on track, finish on time, and with a profit.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating, updating, and implementing project schedules collaboratively with the project team.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support for Crossland's scheduling efforts
  • Perform schedule reviews. Ensure the company procedures and guidelines are adhered to
  • Participate in all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process. Proposal schedules, CPM schedules, baseline schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
  • Ensure the project schedules adhere to the contractual requirements.
  • Make regular visits to job sites, to review job status
  • Attend project related meeting or job site meeting when the emphasis is on the schedule.
  • Lead an update review meeting with the project team, ensuring all items that have or may have a negative impact on the project are properly documented with-in the schedule.
  • Construction and scheduling program support and training for assigned divisions and job site staff.
  • Good grasp of the local market information. Seasonal weather patterns, materials, labor forces and other factors that may impact a project’s schedule.
  • Complete knowledge and experience for Cost Loading and Resource Loading schedules
  • Be prepared to share alternate work plans and methods of construction to mitigate impacts and delays.
  • Ensure that all projects have a “Baseline” schedule established prior to construction, and continue to create Baseline snapshots weekly
  • See to it that all project schedules are utilizing Crossland's uniform template, then customizing it to the project’s specific needs.
  • Work with Marketing, Estimating, and the Pre-Construction Departments to prepare and finalize proposal schedules.
  • Ability to perform a detailed critical path analysis for problem projects
  • Perform weekly progress updates, while monitoring and tracking progress at a detailed and summary level.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively with all field staff, office staff, design teams and clients to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates.
  • Identify and communicate schedule risks to Area Superintendents and Division Managers
  • Analyze potential impacts, deliveries, change orders, time extensions, etc. through the proper use of coding, labeling, and creating fragments and/or time impact analysis.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience with Primavera P6 including cost and resource loading.
  • Water/Wastewater treatment plant experience preferred but not required.
