This is an outstanding opportunity for a SAP Project Manager to manage very large global greenfield SAP SD S/4HANA implementation project.

We are the leading Global Biotech Company in our niche and are looking for a SAP Project Manager. We have been in business for 50+ years, are publicly traded, have 7+K global employees, recognized $6.6 billion in revenues (7% increase over previous year), $153 million in profits (32% increase over previous year), have 750+ product patents, released 6 new products in in the past year and are an active philanthropic institution.

We are executing a ground-up greenfield implementation of SAP S/4HANA on the SAP Cloud, Private Edition on RISE. The SAP Project Manager will lead the SAP SD portion for a global SAP S/4HANA digital transformation program. Serving as the primary Project Manager for the SAP SD Module, this individual will drive overall program planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder alignment across the SAP Design, Build, Test, and Deployment phases. This role is responsible for directing business, IT, and the external system integrator teams to deliver a scalable, fully integrated SAP S/4HANA solution.

Responsibilities

  • SAP S/4HANA Program Delivery: Lead the execution, schedule, milestones, and deliverables for the SAP SD module and OTC process across the full lifecycle of a global greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • RAID & Program Governance: Establish, maintain, and drive project governance using a RAID log (or equivalent framework) to proactively identify, mitigate, and track risks, assumptions, active issues, decisions, and cross-workstream dependencies.
  • Workstream Coordination: Coordinate daily activities across internal business leaders, IT teams, and third-party System Integrator resources to keep deliverables on schedule and aligned with quality standards.
  • Project Tracking & Execution: Utilize enterprise project management tools (such as Smartsheet, MS Project or equivalent) to maintain integrated project schedules, track milestone completion, and manage operational ticketing workflows (via ServiceNow or equivalent platform).
  • Workshop & Readiness Facilitation: Facilitate design workshops, status reviews, cutover planning, testing execution, and organizational change management (OCM) readiness activities across global manufacturing facilities.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with leaders across Sales, Customer Service, Order Entry, Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance to ensure business process standardization, regulatory compliance, and seamless operational adoption.

Requirements

  • SAP Project Management: 5 10+ years of dedicated SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Project Management experience successfully delivering complex enterprise SAP initiatives.
  • RAID Governance Mastery: Demonstrated, hands-on experience creating, updating, and managing a RAID log (or equivalent i.e. Planview, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Airtable, Monday.com, ClickUp, Asana ) risk and dependency tracking mechanisms) for large-scale enterprise projects.
  • SAP Knowledge: Solid business process comprehension of SAP SD and OTC workflows, specifically Order Processing, Order Fulfillment, Out-of-the-Box aATP, and Shipment operations.
  • Tooling Proficiency: Direct experience utilizing Smartsheet or MS Project (or equivalent project scheduling software) and ServiceNow (or equivalent ticketing/issue management systems).

Preferred Skills & Pluses (NOT Mandatory)

  • Greenfield S/4HANA Leadership: Proven track record leading a SAP greenfield implementation or brownfield migration (preferably S/4HANA) from initial planning through post-go-live support is a plus (NOT Mandatory).
  • SAP Module Knowledge: Functional familiarity or exposure to SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and the OTC process
  • Any exposure to SAP MM (Materials Management), DRC or LE modules is a plus.
  • Consulting & SI Background: Prior experience working for or managing Big 4 consulting firms or major Global System Integrators (GSIs).
  • Regulated Industry Experience: Project leadership experience within Life Sciences, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or GxP/GMP/FDA, ISO or any regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Implementation Methodology: Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and global template rollout strategies across multi-site manufacturing facilities. Experience within Agile and/or SAFe environments is a plus.
