Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide advanced nursing care in an inpatient bone marrow transplant unit, specializing in cell therapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy treatments. Deliver comprehensive patient care in a sterile environment while ensuring safety and compliance with treatment protocols.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood transfusions to oncology patients.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Maintain strict infection control procedures within the isolation unit.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transplants.
  • Document patient progress and treatment details accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Ensure patient safety through adherence to protocols and high-quality nursing standards.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an oncology or transplant setting.
  • Possess BLS certification; ACLS, Chemo, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrate competence in administering complex therapies and handling immunocompromised patients.
  • Familiar with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient environment.
  • Experience in an inpatient isolation unit is highly desirable.
