The Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) SBU is seeking a highly motivated finance professional to join the SPC team as a principal program cost controls analyst (P3). This is an excellent opportunity to join the Euphoria/Pacific programs, with external EV reporting requirements.

What You Will Do

  • The candidate will support baseline program execution activities including monthly internal earned value management (EVMS), quarterly estimate at completions (EACs) for several programs, weekly financial reporting, staffing analysis, CDRL deliveries (CFSR, CDSR) as well as ad hoc FP&A support.
  • This position will interface with all levels of management as well as work in a matrix environment (Director, PMs, SCM, Ops, Engineering, Finance, etc).
  • The candidate should look at ways to improve current processes/cadences or set new ones, be a strategic partner to the program leadership team and influence at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Experience with SAP, RPlan, BW, PMX and/or Edit +; or experience with a similar tool
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (ex. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in applying Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs)
  • Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Experience in developing monthly financial Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
  • Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • In depth understanding of color of money policy, accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with good presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking
  • Sound analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving skills
  • Broad understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
