Job description

Position Summary

Clean and maintain all guest hallways and stairwells in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards.  Deliver all clean linens to the floor closets, assist Guest Room Attendants by delivering supplies, stripping beds, collecting soiled linens and trash, stocking all floor closets and keeping all linen closets neat and organized.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Strips all vacant rooms (linen, terry, trash, and service trays) from the opened guest rooms.
  2. Stocks storage closets and cleans linens and all amenities needed, making up all rollways.
  3. Empties guest room attendant trash and linens from housekeeping carts continuously throughout the day.
  4. Cleans guest elevators and vending areas (emptying trash, mirrors, elevator doors & floors and vending machine glass).
  5. Cleans all guest room hallways and stairwells in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations.
  6. Walks all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; removes newspapers and service trays, empties ash urn receptacles, removes trash and/or linens and any areas that need immediate cleaning.
  7. Sorts dirty linens and throws down appropriate linen chute, takes other linens to loading dock and puts in prescribed bins.
  8. Removes trash from service areas and takes to the appropriate location.
  9. Performs function of Guest Room Attendant as needed.
  10. Attends to guests needs such as; providing irons, cribs, additional towels, etc.
  11. Reports any lost and found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the housekeeping inspector.
  12. Responds to all requests and questions timely and efficiently.
  13. Immediately reports any maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Inspector.
  14. Serves as mentor when assigned to train new House Persons using the buddy system. 
  15. Must attend all required departmental training to include but not limited to; bio clean-up, carpet Shampooing, and chemical safety.
  16. Complies with all Housekeeping/Public Areas as well as Global Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  17. Is responsible for always providing proper customer service by assisting our external/internal guests when they have questions or requests. 
  18. Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  19. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

  2. Builds a professional relationship with all team members and work associates, while supporting a strong collaborative work environment.

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

  1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
