University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Imaging Sciences

Salary Range or Pay Grade

$555,000 - $580,000

Description

The University of Rochester Medicine's Department of Imaging Sciences is seeking a Section Head of Breast Imaging to oversee a growing team of outstanding breast radiologists. Our clinical mission is to provide individually tailored comprehensive care for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. The division presently consists of 7 faculty members and provides state of the art imaging including novel ultrasound tomography and breast MRI. Structured reporting software and automated breast density with risk assessment are used across the enterprise. The division is an integral component of the comprehensive breast program at the NCI Designated Wilmot Cancer Center. (https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/cancer-institute) The department operates a Mobile Mammography Van that provides access to underserved and underinsured patients across our region.

The department has maintained an average of one day per week of dedicated academic/administrative time to allow for professional development. Section heads get an additional one day every two weeks of protected time and are eligible for a leadership incentive of up to $30,000.

Department of Imaging Sciences

The Department of Imaging Sciences (https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/imaging) at URochester Medicine is a practice of approximately 145 radiologists and 50-60 residents and fellows. Technical highlights include state of the art information technology, 3T MRI, a clinical PET/MRI, Dual Energy CT and digital PET/CT. The department's PACS system is integrated into a comprehensive electronic clinical information system. Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent

  • ABR Certified/Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology

  • Fellowship Trained or Equivalent Experience in Breast Imaging

  • NYS Licensed or License Eligible
