Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of Radiology and Imaging Services.
- Ensure timely and efficient patient scheduling and workflow.
- Monitor department productivity and implement process improvements.
- Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to optimize patient care.
- Ensure adherence to imaging protocols and quality standards.
- Promote radiation safety practices in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Investigate and resolve patient complaints and service issues.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate radiology staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered work environment.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and supplies.
- Participate in capital planning for new imaging technology.
- Oversee maintenance and servicing of imaging equipment.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Evaluate and recommend new imaging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with equipment safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Maintain departmental policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection and infection control policies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
- Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
- Related duties as assigned
Additional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of radiologic technologist or other professional hospital experience, 3 of which were in a managerial or supervisory capacity Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registry Upon Hire Required
- Advanced modality certification Preferred
- Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
