What is an imaging assistant?

Imaging Assistants are healthcare professionals who support radiologists and technologists in medical imaging departments. They help prepare patients for imaging procedures, maintain and organize imaging equipment, handle administrative tasks, and assist with patient positioning. Their role is essential for ensuring efficient workflow, patient comfort, and the smooth operation of imaging services. Imaging Assistants do not perform diagnostic imaging themselves but play a vital role in the overall process.

What does an imaging assistant do?

As an Imaging Assistant, your daily responsibilities typically include preparing patients for imaging procedures, ensuring proper identification and documentation, and assisting technologists with equipment setup.
