Job description

  • Position Summary
    • The Imaging Transcriptionist will transcribe or edit the results of the Radiologist's interpretations. They insure that results are available to caregivers in a timely manner. They will also type memos, letters, and reports as required. They perform QA duties as needed, as well as any special projects that require their participation. Transcriptionists work without immediate supervision and are expected to assist in monitoring the Imaging Report workflow to ensure efficient and timely Report generation.

    • 1 Year Medical Transcription - Required
    • 1 Year Radiology, or Pathology Transcription - Preferred

  • Core Job Functions
    • Reviews records after physician completion to assure all elements have been completed. Communicates with clinical departments to improve physician compliance in completing diagnostic reports.
    • Collects and maintains volume reports for productivity goals of departmental managers. Assists in planning, purchases, and implementation of all aspects related to departmental events.
    • Performs work as assigned by team leader, keeps team leader informed of any unresolved issues. Assignments are completed per established schedule/deadlines.
    • Orders supplies. Knowledge of the system payroll policies and enters information accurately.
