Raytheon isseekingaseeking a Senior Algorithm Systems Engineer to support advanced aerospace sensor programs.Youwill provide technicalexpertise and leadershipacross multiple programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts withinAdvanced Sensor Programs. This position is part of the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Center in the Airborne Surveillance RF organization.This is an onsite role inPlano, TX.

What You Will Do

  • Performsystemlevelperformance analysis to evaluate andoptimizeadvanced airborne sensor capabilities
  • Develop, refine, and analyze algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications
  • Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions
  • Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex, multidisciplinary systems
  • Execute detailed data analyses following Raytheon engineering processes and best practices
  • Participate in formal and informal peer reviews;identify, track, and resolve technical issues
  • Provide clear,timelytask status updates and deliverhighqualitywork products to the chief engineer
  • Interface daily with engineering teammates, other teamleads, and cross-functional partners to ensure technical alignment
  • Support customer and program presentations by contributing technical content and insights
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) disciplineand a minimum of5years of relevant experiencein one or more of the following areas: Signal Processing Algorithms or Models, Image Processing Algorithms or Models, Detection Theory or Machine Learning.
  • Knowledgedeveloping and implementing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, including signal and image processing,physics-constrained modeling,digital communications, or detection and estimation theory.
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux environments.Programming experience in C or C++, and handson experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
