Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of integrated clinical development programs for diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals in oncology, immunology and cardiovascular diseases across early and late-phase development.

  • Define clinical strategies, endpoints, patient populations, and imaging criteria for each phase of development.

  • Design studies to evaluate diagnostic accuracy, optimal imaging timing, patient selection biomarkers, and comparative performance vs. standard-of-care imaging.

  • Serve as a scientific expert in molecular imaging modalities (PET, SPECT, CT, MRI), including inflammatory and disease-activity imaging; oncology focus and emerging theranostic platforms a plus.

  • Analyze and interpret molecular imaging data (tumor localization, tracer biodistribution, dosimetry, longitudinal response); evaluate imaging biomarkers for stratification and monitoring.

  • Evaluate imaging performance metrics (sensitivity, specificity, SUVs, tumor-to-background ratios).

  • Provide strategic input into advanced image analysis methods (development, validation, quantitative evaluation).

  • Apply disease biology knowledge to guide diagnostic imaging scientific strategy.

  • Collaborate with physicians, scientists, medical physicists, imaging operations, and advanced image analysis teams.

  • Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate with external partners (CROs, academics, software developers, scanner manufacturers).

  • Evaluate emerging imaging advances (modeling, AI) and drive application in clinical programs.

  • Author/review clinical and regulatory documents (Investigator’s Brochures, protocols/amendments, clinical study reports, regulatory briefings) and contribute to technical manuals.

  • Communicate findings via presentations, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Basic Requirements

  • Medical Doctor: board eligible/certified in relevant specialty (or completed comparable post-medical clinical training); non-U.S. trained must meet LCME requirements.

  • Minimum 5 years clinical development experience; minimum 3 years industry experience.


Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Tracer development experience; oncology, immunology and/or cardiology experience highly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving skills; anticipate systemic issues and prevent recurrence.

  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to balance scientific and business priorities; strong communication/collaboration/organizational/influencing skills.

  • Fluency in written/spoken English.

  • Travel estimated 10–15%.
