Position Highlights:Position: Echo TechJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Clinic / Cath Lab (Might be a need for Hospital coverage as well)Schedule: Monday- Friday varied, on call Responsibilities:Perform echocardiograms (transthoracic and transesophageal) according to physician orders and department protocols.Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions to alleviate concerns.Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring their comfort and safety.Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear and accurate images of the heart and associated structures.Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities, anomalies, and potential pathology.Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret findings and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.Ensure proper documentation of procedures, including patient information, image acquisition, and interpretation.Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to minimize risks to patients and staff.Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous education to stay current with advances in echocardiography technology and techniques.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentAssociates or bachelors degreeCurrent ARDMS or CCI RegisteredBLS
