Slitting Crew Lead - B shift

What you’ll do:

ARMOR-IIMAK is seeking a Slitter Crew Lead support the needs of production as a whole by closely working with each operator and assisting them in all aspects such as troubleshooting, set up, staging, lean manufacturing, and other duties while operating in a safe manner. This includes slitting operations themselves.

  • Troubleshoot any machine issues
  • Assist in set-ups providing technical assistance as needed
  • A strong leader in the 6S Program
  • Look for ways to reduce scrap, defects, waste and potential improvement s related to energy management
  • Ensure robot cells are continuously running, fill in as needed for during breaks and lunch
  • Continuously look for improvement to increase efficiency while maintaining or improving safety
  • Ensure all Safety and ISO procedures are being followed
  • Sustain positive workforce
  • Fill out daily shift reports as required by Production Supervisor or Production Manager
  • Other duties as assigned my Operations/Leadership

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of six months machine operation experience
  • Good math and reading skills, including the ability to interpret slitting specifications and standard operating procedures
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of packing requirements preferred
  • Possess positive interpersonal skills to perform effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to have commonsense understanding to carryout written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving some variability
  • Ability to read work instructions and procedures; speak with others clearly and convey information effectively
  • Ability to frequently lift 10 to 35 pounds and carrying or pulling this same weight. Additionally, the use of walk behind material handling equipment to move loads of approximately 300 pounds
