Guardian Interlock of Oklahoma provides professional ignition interlock installation and monitoring services to drivers across the state. The organization is dedicated to keeping Oklahoma roads safe while supporting individuals in meeting legal and compliance requirements after a DUI. With multiple locations, Guardian Interlock of Oklahoma collaborates closely with attorneys, courts, probation offices, treatment providers, and drivers navigating the DUI process. The team is experienced in handling administrative requirements, including interlock compliance and monitoring, and works to make the process clear, efficient, and respectful. Founded on principles of roadway safety and accountability, the company focuses on both public safety and successful compliance for those required to use ignition interlock devices.


Role Description<

The Ignition Interlock Technician is a part-time, on-site role based in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves installing ignition interlock devices in vehicles, performing scheduled maintenance and calibrations, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure proper functioning. The technician will document service visits, maintain accurate records for compliance purposes, and communicate clearly with customers about device operation and usage requirements. Day-to-day tasks also include coordinating appointments, following established safety and quality procedures, and collaborating KP with team members to support timely reporting to courts, probation offices, and other stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic automotive electrical work, including safely installing and removing ignition interlock devices.
  • Comfort with using diagnostic tools or electronic equipment and following technical procedures or manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance reporting.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with customers, legal professionals, and partner organizations.
  • Customer service mindset, with the ability to explain device usage and requirements in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Dependable time management skills and reliability in maintaining scheduled appointments and deadlines.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to DUI and interlock programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in automotive service, electronics, or compliance-focused roles is beneficial.
