Job description

IEM is currently seeking a MRB Coordinator for our Ashburn, VA location. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the Material Review Board (MRB) process across IEM manufacturing plant(s). In this position, you'll help ensure the smooth and timely handling of non-conforming (NC) materials and products-including purchased components, parts, raw materials, and returned items-so they can be properly reviewed and resolved. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to keep things moving efficiently, balance priorities, and help drive timely resolution of NC material concerns. Strong collaboration and organizational skills are key to success in this role.

Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Ashburn, VA office and does not offer remote work.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate MRB Processes: Track and manage all MRB materials, ensuring accurate and timely processing and disposition, both physically and within the ERP system.
  • Document: Create and maintain non-conforming material records (MRR's), ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate: Work with internal teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Supplier Quality, to resolve material issues.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy of MRB materials and ensure proper storage and handling.
  • Report: Generate and analyze MRB reports. Monitor and report out on MRB process metrics.
  • Compliance: Ensure all MRB activities comply with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Source of Non-Conforming Parts: Manage non-conforming parts and materials found during incoming inspection, manufacturing and assembly, or during Quality Control and Test.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Software: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with quality management systems, CAPA processes, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485). Must have strong Problem Solving and Analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • MRB experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field required; or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in a regulated industry..
  • Prior experience in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience leading or managing teams a plus.
  • Prior experience with Infor (Syteline) ERP system is a plus.

            Lifting:             Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.

            Bending:          Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.

Vision:             Long periods of close work on computer screens, small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.

Mental Demands:       Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environment:               Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.

Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $41.83 - $53.37
