Job description

Role: IELTS Examiner
Reports to: IELTS Administrator
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Compensation: $48 per hour
Description:
ELS Minneapolis, Minnesota - ELS Language Center is seeking a Certified IELTS Examiner to conduct one-to-one interviews with IELTS candidates to assess their spoken English according to set requirements.
Job Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Examine test takers on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security in all aspects of IELTS
  • Comply fully with the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking
  • Undertake scheduled standardization training and re-certification
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
  • Familiarity with the IELTS examinations is an asset
  • Excellent customer services skill
  • Ability to exercise judgment in varying situations involving stressed candidates
  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be team-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills and time management needed.

Education Required:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent ((minimum three years of full-time academic study, or one year full-time for a Master's), or a full DELTA
  • A recognized TEFL/TESOL qualification, relevant EFL/ESOL studies, or a degree in Education with a focus on English)

Compensation and benefits:
  • The hourly rate for this position is $48.00 per hour
