Job description

Reputable Chicago-based firm is hiring a Construction Engineer!



Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inspection of local agency construction projects (roadway/bridge improvements using local, state, and federal funding)
  • Prepare all construction documentation (per IDOT BLR&S requirements using CMMS, or similar detailed local agency required documentation)
  • Measure/calculate pay item quantities
  • Prepare contractor pay applications
  • Oversee preparation of construction record drawings
  • Communicate daily/weekly with clients
  • Prepare for and facilitate pre construction meetings


Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of construction experience
  • PE License
  • Certified in IDOT’s Documentation of Contract Quantities
  • MicroStation experience preferred



Salary is commensurate with experience.
