Purpose

As a Director of Group Sales, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing a diverse portfolio of corporate and association group accounts. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, you will drive revenue generation and enhance the hotel's presence in key markets, aligning with our vision at Loews Hotels & Co.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving quarterly sales goals that are aligned with our rooms and food and beverage targets

  • Strategic approach to uncovering new business opportunities to ensure a healthy lead funnel throughout the year

  • Provide a high level of exposure of the hotel in specific markets assigned by DOSM

  • Achieve a strong pace, meet and exceed individual assigned revenue goals

  • Develop and improve a continued relationship with Loews National Sales Organization and key corporate accounts

  • Conduct sales calls locally and nationally as market demands

  • Develop and execute memorable site inspections

  • Solicit Group business directly and jointly with your team through the preparation, execution, and completion of strategic sales action plans

  • Prepare, construct, and present creative customer proposals and negotiate contracts on the hotel's behalf

  • Upon closing, coordinate and follow-up with the other hotel departments to ensure delivery of superior guest service

  • Provide departmental colleagues with proper communication that will enhance our ability to deliver exceptional service

  • Conduct outside sales calls to deliver new business and maintain existing business relationships

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written

  • Excellent networking, negotiation and presentation skills required.

  • Able to work flexible hours to include client entertainment

  • Must be a skilled leader, have strong organizational skills, and have thorough knowledge and understanding of hotel operations.

  • Must be actively involved in key industry organizations and seen as a leader for the hotel

  • Experience with group markets and segments

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Outstanding presentation skills, both oral and written presentation

  • Highly analytical, creative problem solver and strong leadership skills

  • Experience with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Experience with Delphi and OPERA.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when appropriate

Education:

  • College degree

Experience:

  • Must have 7-10 years sales experience, with at least 5 years of experience in the national market. Experience in Hotel sales is required.
