Job Overview

This VPII, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Production Reliability & Agentic AI role is a pivotal leadership position within LPL's Identity & Access Management organization, accountable for the realtime reliability, resilience, and uptime of IAM platforms serving the firm's enterprise ecosystem.

The role combines handson production leadership including ownership of highseverity incident response with a forwardlooking mandate to design, deploy, and govern AIassisted and agentic capabilities that continuously improve stability and operational outcomes. By transforming incidents into learning systems, this leader helps evolve IAM reliability from reactive response to proactive prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Own IAM production reliability and uptime outcomes across LPL IAM platforms; establish and manage measurable availability, recovery, and stability objectives.
  • Personally lead major IAM production incidents and outages, serving as incident commander for highseverity events and ensuring rapid restoration and clear executive communication.
  • Translate lived production experience into architectural and operational improvements that strengthen system resilience.
  • Design, build, deploy, and govern agentic AI capabilities that monitor signals, investigate events, and recommend mitigations while maintaining strong human accountability.
  • Institutionalize learning from failure through rigorous postincident reviews that feed engineering backlogs and AI model improvements.
  • Lead IAM modernization initiatives across identity lifecycle management, authentication, privileged access, and governance automation.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience owning uptime, resilience, and incident outcomes for missioncritical IAM or security platforms.
  • 5 or more years IAM domain expertise, including identity lifecycle management, authentication, privileged access management, and cloud identity.
  • Experience converting operational incidents and risk into systemic resilience and automation improvements.
  • Experience applying AI or advanced automation in production environments with appropriate governance and controls.

Pay Range:

$175,615.00 - $292,623.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
