PROFILE
Roncalli High School is a ninth- through 12th-grade Catholic school located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The school, part of Roncalli Catholic Schools, is a learning community that serves the whole child - mind, body and spirit - while fostering academic excellence. Position Summary
The Science Teacher teaches all freshmen foundational science sections and environmental science sections, and any other science sections as deemed necessary by the science department.
Ideal candidates should demonstrate commitment to faith, academics and service while being strong role models. Candidates also will promote a positive, charitable spirit and nurture the school environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
โ€ข Student management
โ€ข Advisory of academic career planning
Duties/Responsibilities:
โ€ข Maintain the cleanliness, safety and stock of the chemical storage closet.
โ€ข Calibrate pieces of lab equipment as needed.
โ€ข Set up and take down lab equipment as needed.
โ€ข Manage the safety of students during labs.
โ€ข Plan and supervise environmental field research (field trips).
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree
โ€ข Current DPI certification
โ€ข Additional licenses or certifications are a plus
Required Skills/Abilities:
โ€ข Plan and prepare lesson plans that meet core objectives and principles and are in line with the curriculum goals.
โ€ข Prepare instructional aids and supplemental teaching materials, and resources consistent with learning objectives and student needs.
โ€ข Select and requisition appropriate books, instructional aids and school supplies as needed.
โ€ข Deliver lessons using a variety of differentiated instructional techniques that are appropriate to the academic level and meet the diverse needs of students.
