WTW is looking for a professional with extensiveCanadian P&Cinsurance and reinsurance actuarialexperience to join theCanadian P&C team ofWTW’s Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business. In this role, you will play a leading part in a globally recognized, industry-leading consulting team, providing high value-added consulting, reserving, capital, pricing and technology insights to clients, developing and applying state-of-the‑art intellectual property, and contributing to the growth of our Canadian practice.

The Role

As a Canada P&C Actuarial Manager, you will lead project teams dedicated to developing and delivering reserve, capital and pricing analyses for insurance and reinsurance clients. As a project manager, you will bring order and process to the client teams with whom you work, and you will serve as a resource to analysts as you help build their technical and client‑facing expertise.

You will be expected to meet billable hour goals, contribute to intellectual property and research development, and help position WTW as a leading reserving, capital and pricing advisor in Canada.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
  • Serve as the day‑to‑day project lead, ensuring the progress of the team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
  • Draft statements of work, project plans and budgets involving multiple workflow streams and client teams
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Manage client expectations and raise appropriate issues to Client Relationship Managers
  • Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual capital (new tools and approaches)
  • Coordinate with colleagues within and outside of team to deepen team’s knowledge
  • Assist in developing new business opportunities and enhancing existing relationships
  • Directly contribute to clients’ success through applying your technical expertise
  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross‑functional teams
  • Foster a strong community of analysts through coaching, mentorship and technical leadership
Qualifications
  • FCIA or ACIA/ACAS with 7+ years of relevant experience in a Canadian insurance, reinsurance, actuarial or consulting environment involving reserving, capital management/modelling, IFRS 17 and/or reserve transformation
  • Membership in the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and/or the Casualty Actuarial Society or equivalent actuarial professional association is required
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple complex projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • The ability to see the \"big picture\", leveraging the resources of related practices to address clients' business challenges
  • Self‑driven, comfortable navigating ambiguity

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Experience in pricing, predictive analytics, stochastic reserving, capital modelling, claims analytics or actuarial transformation
  • Experience with WTW software including ResQ, Igloo, Radar/Emblem and/or Unify
  • Experience working in an actuarial consulting environment, including sales, business development and client relationship management
  • Active involvement in relevant professional or industry associations
  • Bilingual Capability – French and English is a plus

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 to $200,000 CAD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short‑term incentive bonus.
