RN - Infection Control Nurse - Certified as an ICP

Part Time - 3 days/week

About the Role:

The Infection Control Nurse assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in providing, planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care, nursing services, and health education to residents and patients at Ridgeway Rehab Center, a beautiful 61-bed skilled nursing facility located in Catonsville, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in providing, planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care, nursing services, and health education to residents and patients

  • Desire and ability to effectively train and educate all nursing associates and other associates as applicable

  • Plan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in-service, and orientation

  • Identify, control, and prevent outbreaks of infections in the facility

  • Collects and analyzes infection control data to monitor infectious outbreaks in the facility and surrounding community

  • Develops, implements, and maintains ongoing training and educational programs for all facility personnel in relation to infection control topics

  • Acts as an infection control educational resource for employees, community members, guests, and their families

  • Ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local infection control standards

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in MD or Multistate

  • Certified as an Infection Control Preventionist

  • Unit manager/Nurse Management Experience Preferred

  • LTC/SNF Experience
