Overview

TRAVEL REQUIRED

iConstructors is seeking a project superintendent that is experienced with commercial building ground up new construction. The Superintendent is responsible for the construction schedule, project site, sub-contractors, quality control, communications, and the coordination of all project tasks. The Superintendent ensures daily tasks are carried out safely, compliant to plans, within budget, and on schedule. Most importantly, to ensure our contractual relationships with our client partners.

Responsible for providing management oversight for all phases of assigned commercial construction projects in our Florida Business Unit for our Ground Up Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe work site and enforces safety protocols to ensure the job site consistently adheres to OSHA safety standards.
  • Supervises the site to maintain a safe and positive work environment
  • Communicates regularly with Clients, Property Managers, and Subcontractors to ensure progress is achieved.
  • Schedules all involved Subcontractors for each phase of development and construction
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable building codes
  • Conducts/Manages Daily logs and weekly reports
  • Verifies that all checklists are completed, inspections are scheduled and passed from project inception through punch out stage.
  • Executes company policies and enforces uniformity on construction methods to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Completes each project on schedule from planning through occupancy, ensuring all contract obligations are satisfied

Qualifications

  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor
  • Experience managing commercial ground up construction projects in
  • the $1Million-$10Million range.
  • OSHA certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • General Knowledge of safety regulations, local and state building codes, environmental codes, availability of industry-specific codes and guides.
  • Must have strong people skills, along with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to work on larger projects with a full team but also capable of working on smaller projects, leading all site operations.
  • Technology skills to learn and use our software; prior experience using construction software such as Microsoft project, procore or similar.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings OR- Review and be familiar with contract documents, specifications, shop draws, and submittals.
  • A valid Florida driver's license
  • Proper authorization to work in the US
  • Dependable, well organized, aggressive, and energetic to meet deadlines
