Kona Ice Driver/ Event Specialist

Part-Time Waterford, Waterford, MI, 48327

Kona Ice of E Livingston & NW Oakland Counties

We are looking for motivated and charismatic drivers to join our local Krew. We're looking to fill part-time positions. Drivers must be at least 18 years old. This is a fast-paced and fun job in a growing company where each day will never be like the last. We participate in a wide variety of local activities, such as school events, sports, games, tournaments, large festivals, concerts, corporate events, neighborhood get-togethers, weddings, birthdays, and other unique events.

Kona Ice drivers need to have flexible schedules with a focused priority on meeting the needs of our customers. If you consistently ask for more hours, step up to fill in for others when needed, and want to make a lot of money then working here is a perfect fit. Working with children is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Kona Ice brand by delivering a memorable experience and outstanding customer service
  • Responsible for operating Kona Ice equipment and maintaining trucks and equipment to brand standards
  • Maintain a clean driving record, and adhere to company driving and text policy
  • Know event procedures, garage expectations and product delivery
  • Transport Kona Ice units from garage to event on time and with all inventory necessary for the event
  • Responsible for Kona Ice unit preparation, event set up/ take down, and closing procedures, including inventory and cash counts
  • Take orders, process payment, and ensure transactions are complete and to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain garage expectations, and cleanliness of working environment
  • Contribute to a positive work environment, and provide ongoing feedback to improve it
  • Attend staff meetings and complete ongoing training as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years of age with valid driver's license with min. 2 years driving experience
  • Large vehicle/food truck experience or towing skills are a plus
  • Min. High School diploma
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Open availability/weekends required
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Strong self- initiative, and problem solving
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
