What is an ice skating guard?

Ice skating guards, often called rink guards or skate guards, are staff members responsible for ensuring the safety of skaters during public skating sessions at ice rinks. Their duties include monitoring the ice for unsafe behavior, assisting skaters who fall or need help, enforcing rink rules, and providing first aid if necessary. They play a crucial role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
