Many opportunities exist in ice hockey, from player to athletic trainer to coach. You can find positions at the youth, high school, college, and professional level with the NHL. Your primary duties include fostering the success of a team in its league with game strategies and individual player development. As a coach, your responsibilities involve creating drills and plays, reviewing the strengths of the team, and making adjustments as necessary. All ice hockey coaches must motivate and inspire their group both on and off the rink. Other jobs include referees, support staff, and scouts. An underlying theme is a genuine love of the sport.
