What is an ice crew?

Ice Crew members are individuals responsible for maintaining the ice surface during sporting events like hockey games. Their duties typically include quickly clearing snow or debris from the ice during stoppages, assisting with ice repairs, and sometimes helping with on-ice promotions or entertainment. Ice Crew members work closely with facility staff to ensure the ice remains safe and playable for athletes. They often need to skate well and be able to work efficiently under pressure and tight time constraints.

What are the typical responsibilities of an ice crew member during a professional hockey game or event?
