Lick Honest Ice Creams is seeking a reliable, detail-driven Production Team Member (Contractor) to support our production kitchen across both prep and churn departments. This contractor will prepare ice cream bases, components, and novelty items with consistency and care, ensuring every batch meets our brand's quality standards. If you love working with your hands, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and take pride in producing exceptional food, this role is a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ice cream bases and components by following company recipes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Properly store, label, rotate, and maintain all prepared bases and components to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Complete all prep tasks within scheduled timeframes while upholding strict health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including tools, equipment, and surfaces (mixers, blenders, fridges, ingredient bins, tubs, lids, etc.).
  • Document daily production details to support traceability, quality control, and operational accuracy.
  • Follow the established churn schedule to produce ice cream and novelty items on time, adjusting as needed based on demand.
  • Ensure finished products meet brand standards for texture, flavor, mix-in distribution, and overall quality.
  • Multitask effectively in the churn department (e.g., packaging novelty items while churning ice cream).
  • Follow all standards for labeling, dating, storing, and tracking ingredients, components, and finished goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment and tools across departments.
  • Monitor freezer temperatures and assist with freezer organization, rotation, and inventory projects.
  • Receive, organize, and store incoming ingredients according to FIFO and food-safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels for finished goods and communicate shortages proactively.
  • Assist with periodic inventory audits to reconcile stock, reduce waste, and support cost management.
  • Communicate effectively with the Senior Production Lead and Senior Operations Manager regarding inventory needs, supply issues, or operational concerns.

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
