Job description

Proof of the Pudding has spent the past four decades providing innovative menus, services, design expertise and event experiences to clients throughout Atlanta and beyond. As a preferred caterer to over 50 venues in and around Atlanta, our team spearheads event innovations and culinary experiences to a range of events from weddings, holiday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings.

We are seeking additional Bartenders to help facilitate events and to provide beverage set up and service support at events. This position will travel to our venues throughout West Midtown.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for both pre & post bar set-up/break down responsibilities.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner.
  • Communicates well with bar back during event to assist them with replenishment during shift.
  • Greets all guests and gives exceptional customer service.
  • Attentive to guests needs throughout the entire event.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discard excess ice.
  • Record closing inventory used to balance bar consumption vs sales.
  • Responsible for placing all items back in bar box as originally received.
  • Available to assist  as a server when needed. 

Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 2+ years of bartending experience
  • Must be a team player and a phenomenal communicator.
  • Must be experienced in preparing mixed drinks.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be TIPs certified (will accept similar accredited certifications).
  • Must be extremely hardworking and organized.
  • Must be exceedingly responsible and accountable.
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
  • Must live in Atlanta, GA.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.

Work Environment 

This position will require traversing different terrains while lifting and moving product, equipment, and food items. This position could also drive or ride to events across the greater Atlanta region where the work environments may be buildings, temporary structures, or outdoors.
