SV Tech Systems is recruiting for their Client in Minneapolis, MN for a consultant with mainframe COBOL programming experience as well as experience in migration of COBOL applications to .NET


Title : IBM Mainframe Developer 

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Duration : 2 years

Start date : 2/2/2015

Interviews : In person


Experience and Skills Required

5-7 years of experience with mainframe COBOL programming experience with intermediate knowledge of IBM mainframe databases both IMS and DB2 and CICS.

5-7 years of experience with JCL, Panvalet and Easytrieve

5-7 years of experience with defining MFS screen layouts and testing with BTS

Advanced skills in reading and understanding technical requirements and technical drawings

Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must

Strong interpersonal skills is a must



Qualifications

Ability to read and understand existing IBM mainframe IMS COBOL and IBM Mainframe DB2 COBOL code and modify to new technical or business requirements


Ability to write clear technical/specification documents


Intermediate understanding of SQL databases and query structure.


Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010+


Experienced in IBM Mainframe RCF (security)


Experience in migration of COBOL applications to .NET (desired)
