Role: Senior DataPower / Managed File Transfer Engineer

Location: Dallas/ Tampa/ Jersey City

Duration of contract: 6 Months

 

Role Descriptions:

Senior DataPower / Managed File Transfer Engineer.Responsible for engineering, support, security, automation, modernization, and operational ownership of enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms including IBM DataPower, IBM Connect:Direct (NDM), and AWS Transfer Family. Supports mission-critical file transfer services, client onboarding, and secure integrations.

6+ years of experience with IBM DataPower (SFTP Gateway), IBM Connect:Direct (NDM), and AWS Transfer Family. Strong Linux, scripting, automation, encryption, certificate/key management, cloud integration, monitoring/logging, and disaster recovery experience. Familiarity with Ansible, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code

Engineer, implement, and support MFT platforms. Define platform standards and architecture patterns. Support secure file transfer connectivity, client onboarding, and production readiness reviews. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive platform stability. Execute upgrades, patching, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and resiliency testing. Enforce security and compliance controls. Drive automation, observability, cloud adoption, and modernization initiatives. Develop runbooks, documentation, and operational procedures. Provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Experience with enterprise monitoring/SIEM integrations, cloud-native architectures, automation frameworks, Infrastructure-as-Code, and highly available MFT platforms.
