Job description

Remote for now, if and when converted to full time, 1 day a week in the local office.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering IBM FileNet P8 and related IBM Automation platforms in an on-premises environment.
• Experience administering IBM FileNet Content Platform Engine (CPE), IBM Content Navigator (ICN), IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW), and IBM Case Manager.
• Knowledge of IBM Process Engine and FileNet Object Store administration.
• Experience supporting IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Network Deployment environments and clustered deployments.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain IBM fix packs, security patches, and minor version upgrades.
• Experience migrating workflow models, case solutions, and FileNet object store configurations across development, test, and production environments.
• Strong understanding of system monitoring, including server health, log analysis, storage management, and database connection pool monitoring.
• Experience managing platform security, including LDAP integrations, authentication, authorization, and Object Store access control lists (ACLs).
• Ability to troubleshoot platform, middleware, and infrastructure issues, analyze logs, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate issue resolution with IBM Support.
• Experience collaborating with database administrators to optimize Oracle databases supporting CPE, ICN, and BAW environments.
• Working knowledge of on-premises networking concepts, including load balancers, SSL certificate management, DNS, and firewalls.
• Experience using source code and version control repositories such as Bitbucket (or similar Git-based platforms) to manage application code, configuration changes, and deployment artifacts.
• Experience in an Agile Technology Development environment, preferably SAFe.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional infrastructure, middleware, database, and application support teams.

  • Solves problems, performs analysis, researches, and tests functions for systems and networks.
  • Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Provides trouble resolution on complex problems.
  • Leads implementations for systems and networks; develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation.
  • Represents major upgrades and reconfigurations in change control.
  • Designs and analyzes mix of vendor services meeting business requirements; maintains relationship with key vendors.
  • Leads lights-on initiatives to consolidate equipment and/or implement business relocations.
  • Performs capacity analysis; recommends and implements capacity increases; serves as the technical escalation for results of preventative maintenance routines; supervises preventative maintenance.
  • Performs the most complex operations and administration tasks.
  • Requires BS/BA degree in related field of study and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a support and operations role in any of the following areas: servers, networks, telecommunications, storage, mainframe, operating systems, middleware, disaster recovery, collaboration technologies, hardware/software support or other infrastructure services role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Multiple trade certifications and/or continuing education strongly preferred.
