Job description

Position: IAM Remediation & Identity Security Analyst

Location: Remote (working PST hours)

Contract: 6+Months

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) professional to support remediation efforts following a recent DART (Microsoft Detection and Response Team) assessment. This role will focus on analyzing identity systems, generating actionable insights, and driving closure of outstanding security findings across Active Directory and cloud identity platforms.

This is a hands-on, data-driven role requiring strong scripting, log analysis, and identity security expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and remediate identity-related findings from the DART assessment across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID

Develop and execute advanced PowerShell scripts for reporting, automation, and data extraction

Extract and analyze identity data using Microsoft Graph API, Active Directory, and Entra ID

Investigate authentication activity, including Kerberos ticketing and Active Directory logs, to identify anomalies and misconfigurations

Leverage Splunk to analyze and correlate identity and security logs (minimum of 6 months of historical data)

Partner with IAM, Security, and Infrastructure teams to prioritize and remediate identified risks

Build dashboards and reporting (e.g., Power BI) to track remediation progress and risk reduction

Document findings, remediation actions, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with:

Advanced PowerShell scripting (reporting and automation)

Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID

Microsoft Graph API

Proven ability to analyze:

Kerberos authentication flows

Active Directory security and event logs

Experience with Splunk for log ingestion, querying, and analysis

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into actionable insights

Solid understanding of identity security best practices and common vulnerabilities
